This Privacy Policy explains how the Electricity Bill Check Online mobile application ("App"), developed and published by JazyDevelopers, handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to all users of the App on Android devices.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically, we do not collect:

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide bill history, reminders, and auto-refresh features, the App stores the following data in a private local database (Room/SQLite) on your device only:

• Your electricity company selection (e.g., MEPCO, LESCO, FESCO)

• Your consumer reference number(s)

• Bill details fetched from official company portals: bill amount, due date, issue date, meter reading, units consumed, and paid status

• Timestamps of when bills were last checked

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server operated by JazyDevelopers, and is not shared with any third party by us. It is stored solely to enable the bill history, reminder, and auto-refresh features within the App.

4. How Bill Data Is Fetched

When you check a bill, the App makes a direct HTTPS request to the official website of the electricity distribution company (DISCO) you selected — for example, pitc.com.pk, lesco.com.pk, or ke.com.pk. Your reference number is sent to that official company portal only, in the same way a web browser would.

JazyDevelopers does not operate any intermediate server. We do not see, log, or store your reference number or bill data on our end.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain device information to serve relevant ads, including:

• Advertising ID (Android Ad ID)

• Device type and operating system version

• General location (country/region, derived from IP address)

• App interaction data for ad performance measurement

This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by going to your Android device Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

5.2 Google Play Services

The App uses Google Play Services for app delivery and updates. Google Play Services may collect diagnostics and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

5.3 Official Electricity Company Portals

Bill data is fetched from official Pakistani electricity company websites. Your reference number is transmitted to these portals over HTTPS. Please refer to each company's own privacy policy for how they handle requests on their servers.

6. Android Permissions Used

The App requests only the permissions necessary for its features:

• INTERNET — required to fetch bill data from official company portals

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — required to send bill due date reminders and bill update alerts (Android 13+)

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — required to reschedule background bill reminders after device restart

• WAKE_LOCK — required for the background auto-refresh worker to complete its task

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, SMS, call logs, or any other sensitive permission.

7. Background Processing

The App uses Android WorkManager to run two background tasks:

• Bill Reminder Worker — runs daily to check if any saved bill is due within 7 days, and sends a local notification if so. No data is sent over the internet by this task.

• Bill Auto-Refresh Worker — runs periodically to refresh bill amounts and paid status from official company portals using your saved reference numbers. This task makes HTTPS requests to official DISCO websites only.

No data from these background tasks is sent to JazyDevelopers' servers.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

All data stored by the App (reference numbers, bill history) remains on your device and is under your full control. You can delete it at any time by:

• Using the "Clear History" option within the App's History screen

• Deleting individual bill entries by swiping or using the delete option

• Uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored App data from your device

JazyDevelopers does not hold any copy of your data on external servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at ijazali1320@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Security

All network communication between the App and official company portals is conducted over HTTPS (encrypted). Local data is stored in the App's private storage directory, which is not accessible to other apps on your device.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong device security (screen lock, device encryption) to further protect your data.

Electricity Bill Check Online is an independent, unofficial application developed by JazyDevelopers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to WAPDA, PITC, LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, IESCO, GEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO, K-Electric, or any other government or utility entity.

Bill data is fetched in real time from official company websites. JazyDevelopers does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the bill information displayed. For official and authoritative bill information, please visit your electricity company's official website directly.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
